The UDOT Citizen Report app serves as a valuable tool for trained volunteers to communicate real-time road and weather conditions directly to meteorologists at the UDOT Traffic Operations Center. This initiative opens its doors to anyone aged 18 and over who wishes to contribute to the enhancement of public safety on Utah's roads.

Participation in the program requires volunteers to complete a brief online training session, available on the UDOT Traffic website (www.udottraffic.utah.gov/training/citizenreporter). Following the completion of this training, participants must fill out a sign-up form. In a timeframe of 2 to 4 business days, volunteers will receive a personalized PIN and login credentials via email, granting them access to the UDOT Citizen Report app to begin submitting their reports.

This app empowers volunteers to relay crucial road and weather information to UDOT, thus benefiting countless drivers traversing Utah's highways. The significance of accurate and timely road condition updates cannot be overstated, as they play a key role in ensuring safe travels across Interstate, U.S. and State highways throughout the state.
